No money, no friends

So I installed steam the other day. Excited about being able to play all those cool games like Portal and so on that I missed all those years since I am using a Macintosh and don’t want to be bothered by a Windows installation. Of course I wanted to add people I know to my friends list also… but:
In the Steam World, friendship is not for free.

I thought that PORTAL was free until Mai, 24th?
Try to get that, since that would give you a game without any payment.
Of course I got Portal right after installing Steam. But since it is free it doesn’t count as “purchase” ;) I didn’t pay money for it, so I don’t get friends ;)

Heh, that’s the new face of cheap-ass-gaming then, I suppose.
“If you want to save some bucks, you’re not WORTHY to have friends” …. a tagline that shouldn’t be adopted, I’d say :D.
