2D, 2D or not 2D?

The problem with the 3DS seems to be that you (literally) can’t see what’s so awesome about it, as far as the 3D-part is concerned. Which, in turn, makes for an interesting question:
Will the times be gone where “l@@k, cool graphixxx” sells games? Since you can’t “print” (hologram aside) or show 3D without the equipment on the receiver side, that’ll be challenge I want to see being tackled.
